The State of Louisiana, Division of Administration, is hereby advertising the sale of the Champion office complex located at 4615 Government Street in Baton Rouge. This site is comprised of eight (8) acres, more or less, with 59,189 square feet of gross building area and 242 parking spaces. The sale will be conducted by sealed bids. The minimum bid is hereby set at $4.255 million. The Division of Administration will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30th and again from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7th. At each open house, all interested parties are welcome to tour the grounds and building interior. Sealed bids will be accepted by hand delivery only to the Office of State Lands via the Claiborne Building Security Desk, 1201 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802 (in downtown Baton Rouge), from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19th; no bids will be accepted after 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19th. Bids must include the name and contact information of the bidder, including a valid email address and phone number. Bids must also include a good faith deposit in the amount of $50,000 by certified check or money order only. Bids will be opened at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, October 19th, in the James Monroe Room, Room Number 1-145, on the first floor of the Claiborne Building, 1201 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802. Bidders who wish to be present to witness the opening of bids must check in at the Claiborne Building Security Desk. The winning bidder will be notified by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19th, first by email and then by telephone, if he or she is not present to hear the announcement at bid opening. Closing on the sale must be complete by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30th. If closing is not complete by the deadline, the next highest bidder may be declared the substitute winner, or the sale may be cancelled.
